NOTES : Cecil died from wounds two months after another Tannymorel soldier, Reece Tart had been killed in action. The deaths of these two young men, so close together, came as a huge loss to the Tannymorel community.

Cecil was the son of James William and Elizabeth Bradford of Tannymorel. On his enlistment papers he nominated his sister Nell, as his next of kin.

Cecil attended Tannymorel State School before going to Warwick State High School. Always a keen sportsman, he played rugby for many years.

Cecil was stationed in Scotland, United Kingdom, Middle East and Papua New Guinea.
