NOTES : Lawrence was living at the Langham Hotel when he made the decision to join the Royal Australian Air Force during World War 2. He listed Ethel Martin as his next of kin on his enlistment papers. He was discharged on 8 March 1954 after having first served in the Second World War and then in Korea-Japan. He married Olive Ellen Johnson in 1955.
