NOTES : John was killed in action when his plane was shot down.
His parents were John Livingstone and Williamina Brooks of Warwick.
John attended Warwick Central State School and Warwick State High School. While he enjoyed playing football he was a valued member of the Scouts where he excelled at morse code. John rose through the scouting ranks and achieved the highest rank, King’s Scout. He married his sweetheart Kathleen Beattie just one month before he was killed.
