NOTES : John was killed in action when his plane was shot down over Germany.
John’s brother Richard Bryden QX17889 and his sister Anne Brayden QF141547 also served in WWII.
His parents were Richard and Martha Bryden of Warwick. John attended Warwick East State School, Warwick Central State School and Warwick State High School. While he enjoyed playing cricket, football and tennis he was a keen member of the Scouts along with his friend Jack Carpender who had also been a student of Warwick State High School.
