NOTES : Stanley or “Ted” as he was known as, died of illness while being held as a Prisoner Of War by the Japanese. Two of his brothers also served in WWII, Keith William Gillott 405477 and Neil Edward Gillott QX28239.
Ted’s parents were Robert Bertram and Vera Millicent Gillott (nee Sharpe) of Myall Avenue, Warwick. His schooling was undertaken at Warwick Central State School and Warwick State High School.
At the time of his death, he was engaged to Doris Smith who also enlisted in the services.
