NOTES : William’s father was Albert William Harrison of England.

William held the rank of Corporal when he was awarded the Military Medal for rendering good service by capturing a German Officer who in turn caused a considerable number of enemy soldiers to surrender.

He was promoted to Company Sergent Major on 10 July 1917.

William married Sybil Spreadborough on 31 July 1918.
