NOTES : Ernest was the son of Frederick and Mary Ann Lawer of Severnlea. Frederick Lawler worked as an engine driver.
Ernest went to Severnlea State School before attending Warwick State High School. It was while he was a student here that he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force.
Ernest was killed in action in a flyng battle.
