NOTES : Ronald died of wounds sustained at the battle for Shaggy Ridge in Papua New Guinea. His brother was Major Oswald (Ossie) James O’Grady QX6334. Ronald was the son of James Patrick and Rosina O’Grady (nee Cox).
He married Vonda Anderson on the 11 November 1942. Vonda and his young son were living at the Soldiers Settlement at Mt Gravatt at the time of his death. Prior to his full-time enlistment, he was a member of the 11th Light Horse Regiment at Cabarlah.
