NOTES :  Arthur Joseph Cameron (known as Cam) Parr was born in Warialda, New South Wales. By the time he enlisted, his family were living at Yetman and he was living and working in the Warwick region as a stockman.

Standing 5 foot 10 inches, weighing 133 pounds with black hair and brown eyes he underwent his medical at Warwick and was accepted into the 5th Light Horse Regiment on 27 March 1916. He embarked in Sydney aboard KABLINGA bound for overseas service.

In 1917, Cam sent home a postcard with his photo on the front and the following transcript has been taken from the postcard.

Feb 5th 1917 Egypt

Dear Emily

I received your welcome letter and was pleased to hear you were all well as it leaves me so far how is that bay colt that I rode home getting on. I hope he is alright. Let me know when you get these parcels. How is Charlie getting on, hope they did not get flooded out with all the rain they had. I hope you have heard from your uncles. Love to you all from Cam.

On 28 June 1919 he embarked upon Madras Kant bound for Australia. On 14 March 1923, Cam married Emily Gertrude Ellis. They lived at The Grange, Yelarbon as Graziers. Cam passed away at the age of 65 and is buried in the Yelarbon General Cemetery with his wife, Emily.
