NOTES : Noel was the son of William Daniel and Annie Caroline Sharp.
He was educated at Warwick East State and Warwick State High Schools. After leaving school Noel worked for Ahern and O’Grady Butchers in King Street, Warwick.
He was called up for Military Service with the Darwin Infantry Battalion (QX70646) before being discharged to enlist in the AIF and was assigned to the Gull Force on the small island of Ambon.
A month after they landed a force of 5300 Japanese invaded the island. Noel Sharp was one of the hundreds of prisoners of war detained at Laha, who were executed on February 20, 1942.
