NOTES : James Robinson Sharpe was the son of Government railway worker, James Sharpe and Mabel Gould.

James met and married Violet while he was working as a labourer in Sydney. They were married on June 27, 1925 at St Silas Church, Mascot, Sydney.

At the time of his enlistment in WWII, James and Violet were living on a station at Bonshaw, New South Wales. See the Warwick Daily News article from 1942 of his enlistment here.

In 1943 while serving in Brisbane, James organised for Violet to move to Texas. Upon his discharge from the army on 28 September 1944, James return to work as a station hand in Texas. They were still living in Texas at the time of James death.
