NOTES : Allan was the son or Andrew and Prascovia Sidorenko who owned a business in Hamilton Street, Warwick.

He won a scholarship from the Warwick East State School which enabled him to go to Warwick State High School. During his time at WSHS Allan secured his colours in football, cricket and tennis. Football was where he excelled and eventually, he reached the pinnacle of this sport when he was appointed Captain of Toowoomba team which played in the Bulimba Cup series.

Allan studied to become a teacher and was appointed as an assistant teacher of the East Toowoomba State School before becoming a relief teacher for the Education Department until he enlisted in the RAAF. He was posted to Cootamundra, New South Wales.

On April 13, 1942, the plane he was in crashed during a training flight and all four crew were killed.

LAC SIDORENKO, Allan was buried with full military honours at the Warwick General Cemetery on Saturday April 17, 1942.
