NOTES : Hector died when the Catalina aircraft he was on was lost in a storm after completing a successful mission. His older brother John Walter Wickham Q7290 also served in WWII.
Hector was the youngest son of Walter Watson and Florence Ethel Wickham. His schooling was undertaken at Greymare State School and Slade School in Warwick. Hector married Dorothea Georgina Elson of Maryborough.
He was a member of the 11th Light Horse Regiment for 2 years until he was discharged on transfer to the RAAF.
